We recommend that you take Basic II classes after you have completed and mastered our 6-count, triple time, Basic I classes.
Double Time Session
Double Time may be our hardest rhythm to learn, but once mastered, it's the most versatile and the most widely used.
Basic II will be offered in months that have only (4) Wednesdays.
Description: You will learn 8-count swing, the amalgamation of 6 and 8 count patterns, extended counts, added patterns and combination patterns. Basic II continues teaching triple time as in Basic I and directly follows the Basic I class.
Number of Classes : (4) Classes for (4) Wednesdays in a row, always starting on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
Times: 7:45 - 9:00 PM
Cost: Packaged as (4) classes for $20.00 per person
If you've paid for the class once, you may repeat the same class free as many times as you choose.
Double Time will be offered in place of triple time Basic II in months that have (5) Wednesdays.
Description: This most versatile rhythm can be used to all speeds of music. This session has (3) classes of 6-count swing and (2) classes of 8-count swing and directly follows the single time class.
Number of Classes: (5) Classes for (5) Wednesdays in a row, always starting on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
Times: 7:45 - 9:00 PM
Cost: Packaged as (5) classes for $25.00 per person ($15 if you have taken and paid for Basic I and Basic II)
If you've paid for the class once, you may repeat the same class free as many times as you choose.
