The Wood River Roundhouse is located in the heart of Wood River Township at 633 North Wood River Avenue. Nearby landmarks include the East Alton/Wood River Highschool and Wood River Aquatic Center. For many years, the Roundhouse has been the center of many community events and activities.
Making it to The Roundhouse should be snap. The town of Wood River is near the intersection of IL Route 3 and 143. You can also reach Wood River via Route 111 or Interstate 255.
If you are traveling from Missouri to Illinois on 270 across the 270 Bridge - turn north on first Illinois exit (Rt 3). Go (7) miles north to Rt. 143. Turn right on Rt. 143. Go over overpass. (5/10) mile turn left a 1st. water tower. You are on Wood River Avenue. Go north (1/2) mile. The W. R. Roundhouse is on the right side of the street next to the swimming pool.
If you are traveling from Missouri to Illinois on Hwy 67 across the Alton Bridge - turn right after you cross the bridge. Go (5.2) miles to Rt. 3. Cross Rt. 3, go over the overpass another (5/10) mile to 1st. water tower. Turn left. You are on Wood River Avenue. go north (1/2) mile. The W. R. Roundhouse is on the right side of the street next to the swimming pool.
If you are traveling from Belleville, Collinsville, South St. Louis, etc. take Hwy. 255 north to Wood River. Turn left on Rt. 143. It's (1.6) miles from Rt 255 to 1st. water tower. Keep going (1.3) more miles to the 2nd. water tower. Turn right at 2nd water tower. You are on Wood River Avenue. Go north (1/2) mile. The W. R. Roundhouse is on the right side of the street next to the swimming pool.

Go past the W. R. Roundhouse, past the swimming pool and past the E. A. W. R. High School. Turn east on Chuck Summers Avenue, go (1) block, turn south on Whitelaw Avenue and continue until you see the entrance to the swimming pool - across from the tennis courts. Turn into the entrance and continue down to the parking area outside the W. R. Roundhouse.
